When can I pre-order my Christmas ham?
Pre-orders for our Christmas ham and festive range are now open. All four Meatsmith stores (Fitzroy, St Kilda, Balwyn and Brighton) stay open right up until Christmas Eve, with plenty of festive fare to choose from in person too.
When do Christmas ham orders close?
Order closures are staggered as delivery dates fill up, so we recommend ordering your Christmas ham early to secure your preferred delivery or pickup slot.
I could only get a delivery slot between 16–20 December — will my Christmas ham still be fresh for the big day?
Yes. At this time of year we pack all Christmas orders for maximum shelf life, so anything delivered in this window will be perfectly fresh for Christmas Day.
Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my Christmas ham order?
No deposits — to secure your Christmas order and fulfilment date, full payment is required at the time of ordering.
Can I order a custom Christmas ham or festive item?
Due to high demand over the festive season, we're unable to take custom orders for Christmas.
Can I change my Christmas order after placing it?
Yes — email info@meatsmith.com.au. All changes must be finalised and paid for before your order's closing date.
Can I place more than one Christmas order?
Of course — we love festive celebrations! If you're looking to add something to a pre-existing order, please email info@meatsmith.com.au. If you have multiple celebrations to cater for, please place as many separate orders as you need to.
Do you deliver Christmas hams and festive orders?
Yes — we deliver Christmas hams and festive produce across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, on selected delivery days within your zone. This year, we are also offering delivery on the 19th of December to Sydney and Brisbane. See our full Christmas delivery zones and dates here.
Can I pick up my Christmas ham in-store?
Yes — all four of our stores (Fitzroy, St Kilda, Balwyn and Brighton) are open every day from December 16 to December 24. Simply select your preferred pick-up date and time and head to the store for collection.
How much does a Christmas ham weigh?
All our Christmas hams, turkeys, beef and pork are listed by minimum weight, and we guarantee your order won't weigh less than stated. Not sure how much ham you need for your guest list? Our team is always happy to help you choose the right size.
Can I still order regular Meatsmith products during the Christmas period?
Absolutely — our full range of everyday produce is available as normal throughout December. Shop it here.
Can I send a Christmas ham or gift hamper to someone else?
It's one of our favourite things to help with! Add a personalised gift card message in the notes field at checkout, and we'll take care of the rest.
How do I cook my Christmas ham?

Over the festive season, we are offering delivery of all Christmas produce from December 16 to December 24 across the entirety of Victoria. We are also offering in-store collection from December 16 to December 24 of all Christmas produce.
All Christmas orders must be placed online to ensure product availability. We recommend placing your order as soon as possible. We expect to reach capacity prior to orders closing on December 12.

- All deliveries are made in an insulated box between 8am and 6pm, you will receive tracking information for your delivery

Christmas meat, hams and festive produce in Melbourne
Our Christmas range brings together locally produced heritage meat, charcuterie, house-made smallgoods and accompaniments, and wine for celebrating. Whether you're cooking for a crowd or planning something more intimate, we've selected exceptional produce for the table, plus the sauces, glazes, jus and condiments to make the preparation easier.
Christmas orders open in early November. Delivery and click & collect dates are 16 to 24 December, with click & collect available from our Fitzroy, St Kilda, Brighton and Balwyn stores.
Christmas ham
A Beechwood smoked ham is the centrepiece of our festive tables. Our Christmas hams come as whole rare breed hams, chump and shank half cuts, or traditional boneless hams. Our award-winning hams are made from rare breed pork from producers in Northern Victoria and along South Australia's coastline. We brine the legs, then smoke them over German Beechwood for depth and flavour. Our head chef can also glaze your ham for $65.
Christmas turkey
Our Christmas turkeys are free-range. Choose from whole turkeys in two sizes, or turkey breast, either plain or stuffed, trussed and rolled with bacon, maple and sage. Add stuffing and condiments to round out the table.
Christmas poultry and game
Our Christmas poultry and game collection brings together free-range turkey, chicken and duck from a select group of Victorian producers, trussed and ready to roast. A whole roast chicken is a great choice for smaller gatherings, and our Bannockburn free-range chickens are farmed locally just west of Geelong. Order for home delivery or click & collect for a memorable Christmas meal.
Christmas hero roasts
For a show-stopping centrepiece, browse our Christmas hero roasts, skilfully butchered with O'Connor beef, Western Plains pork and pasture-fed lamb. Our Beef Wellington and trussed beef eye fillet are elegant choices for smaller celebrations, while a standing rib roast is a robust centrepiece to carve at the table. You'll also find turkey ballotine and porchetta roasts, ideal for sharing over the festive season.
Christmas cheese and dessert
Finish your feast with our cheese and dessert collection, including our rum baba, traditional Christmas pudding, brandy custard and a selection of cheeses for the table.
