Our Beef Wellington is a house-made and elegant centrepiece for a festive celebration. Your Beef Wellington will be made with a lightly seared pasture-raised eye fillet, house made mushroom duxelles and crêpes, wrapped in an all butter shortcrust pastry. 

Made by the Meatsmith kitchen with Gippsland pasture-raised beef eye fillet, mushrooms, garlic, rosemary, thyme, Dijon mustard, flour, butter, milk and eggs.
This is a fresh product, best cooked and consumed within 2-3 days. Any product ordered from the Meatsmith Christmas range will be suitable for consumption up to and including Christmas Day.
Our Beef Wellington weighs a minimum of 1kg and will feed 4 people generously.

What is a Beef Wellington?

Beef Wellington is a decadent English beef dish dating back to the early 1900s. It is a whole trimmed fillet of beef surrounded by a mushroom duxelles and fresh crêpes, before encased in a crumbly, buttery pastry. Visually striking, and notably delicious, it is ideal as a decadent centrepiece of a celebratory feast.

Follow our technique to cook your Beef Wellington at home. Our pre-made pastry dish prepared by our in-house chefs could not be any easier to add to your Christmas feast. Simply bake in a hot oven for approximately 40 minutes, a meat thermometer helps with best results.

What to serve with Beef Wellington?

This dish pairs wonderfully with a fresh leafy green salad. Alternatively, roasted or steamed vegetables also make for a delicious complete feast. One non-negotiable though is the classic beef wellington sauce to adorn each slice. Our red wine jus works perfectly, as does a dash of housemade mustard and horseradish cream.
