Seki Kanestsugu (est. 1918) incorporates traditional blade manufacturing techniques into its modern knife-making and is based in one of the best known knife producing cities in the world. The techniques are designed to increase hardness in the blades, ensuring longevity in the knife's sharpness and overall lifespan, using stainless steel blades that are strong to wear and resistant to corrosion.
The wave-like pattern is a result of 33 layers of Damascus steel and is inspired by 'Saiun' irredescent clouds. The knife's core is V10 stainless steel.
The handle is made from resin-infiltrated layers over compressed paper micarta, offering durability as well as higher water resistance than wooden handles.
Knives come individual boxes and are perfect for gifting.
