At Meatsmith our top priority is the health and well being of our customers, staff and suppliers. Below is a summary of the measures we have put in place to minimise the spread of COVID-19 and comply with Australian Federal and State Government requirements. A full description of our practises and procedures is outlined in our Covid Safe Plan, which we are happy to provide on request. There are a number of ways you can assist us in keeping our shops safe and we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the initiatives below.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
We have configured our shops, work spaces, seating area and pathways to ensure we are complying with the current Government regulations.
Our shops are large and spacious with naturally good air flow. When the weather permits we open doors to further aid air flow with our air conditioning providing additional fresh air.
CLEANING AND HYGIENE
Our hygiene standards are best practise (as they have always been) including abundant provision for customers and staff of hand washing and sanitising facilities and stringent staff hygiene requirements. We have implemented increased cleaning of all high touch points and scheduled additional venue deep cleans.
All staff are required to have their temperature checked at the beginning and end of each shift. Any team member with a temperature of higher than 37.4 degrees will be sent home and encouraged to seek medical advice.
All managers and staff have undertaken COVID-19 safe training.
We are limiting time on premise for all suppliers, and using external doors and loading bays for deliveries where possible.
Records of staff shift attandance are kept electronically to ensure easy and accurate identification of attendees at specific times.
PICK UP AND DELIVERY
We seal our packaging to ensure your food is safe after it leaves our shops. We have reduced contact for pick up. Pre-orders can be placed using our click and collect service. If you would prefer not to enter our stores for pick up, please call when you arrive so we can bring your order out to you. For home delivery select the Authority to Leave option for a contactless delivery.
HOW YOU CAN HELP US
Please respect the cues we have put in place to assist with this, including number of customers per store and markers for queues, and be aware of your interactions with other customers and staff.
