Our take on the classic French onion soup adds O’Connor Beef oxtail for extra lusciousness. We add it to a braise made with onions caramelised slowly in butter for hours, our beef stock, Madiera and fresh thyme. Sold in portions for two, gently warm before serving in oven-proof bowls topped with baguette slices and shavings of Comté. Bake until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
Oxtail, onions, beef stock (onion, garlic, celery, carrot) , garlic, port, white wine, bay leaf, thyme, salt, and pepper.
This product will be vacuum-sealed, please refer to packaging for more information.
Each jar will contain 500ml of soup, enough for 2 people.
Empty the soup into a medium sauce pan. Gently reheat and bring to the boil. Turn down and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
