Barbacoa, a traditional preparation with roots in the Caribbean, has evolved into the deeply flavourful style we associate with Yucatán, Mexico. Our Lamb Barbacoa is a celebration of this heritage—lamb shoulder, slow-cooked to tender perfection in a fragrant medley of garlic, chiles, pepper, oregano, and cumin.

Here, convenience meets tradition: with the slow cooking already done, all it takes is 40 minutes in the oven to bring this dish to your table. Serve it in warm tortillas, topped with diced onion, fresh coriander, and a splash of Valentina Hot Sauce, available in all of our stores. Don’t forget the lime wedges for that bright finishing touch.

This is a cooked product, and it will be vacuum sealed with a minimum of 3 days of shelf life. Please refer to packaging for further information.
Each lamb shoulder will weigh approximately 900g, feeding 4-5 people.
Remove from plastic and place in a roasting tray with 1/2 a cup of water. Cook at 190C for 40 minutes until golden brown.
