Dreaming Goat Pressed Chevre
Sarah & Daniel run a small herd of dairy goats on their 50-acre farm in the Macedon Ranges. They practice what they call “gentle animal husbandry” which broadly follows permaculture principles and includes keeping kids together with their mums, avoiding chemical use by regularly rotating the herd to fresh pasture and most importantly, treating each of their animals with the utmost care and respect. The goats are milked every morning and the milk is then made into a range of fresh cheeses & yoghurt.
Similar to what many call "Persian Feta," use the Pressed Chevre on many pasta dishes. We favour one with peas, mint, garlic and pancetta.
Each punnet will contain 300g of pressed chevre.
