2017 Fiorini Chianti
Gone are the days when we’d see Chianti bottles used as candle holders in our favourite local Italian restaurant. While the bottle here is not the familiar shape, it is still as lovely to look at and drink as many from times past. As with most Chiantis, this wine is mainly Sangiovese with the addition of some Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo for balance. It is plush with fresh cherries and has a hum of pepper spice to cut through rich meat dishes.
